An industrial holding with integrated skills and a long-term vision

Futura Group operates in the renewable energy, circular economy, and regenerative agriculture sectors through an industrial model based on real assets, executive capacity, and local roots.

Who We Are

Futura Group is an industrial holding company active in three complementary fields: biomass and the circular economy, photovoltaics and storage systems, and regenerative agriculture.

The group develops, builds, and manages initiatives that combine project quality, industrial discipline, and long-term vision. Our approach is based on the integration of technical, financial, permitting, and operational expertise, with the aim of transforming industrial opportunities into solid, sustainable, and long-lasting platforms.

From renewables to an integrated industrial platform

Futura was founded with a strong focus on developing projects in the renewable energy sector. Over time, this vocation has evolved into a broader industrial model, capable of integrating development, permitting, construction, operational management, and asset valorization.

The experience gained in the bioenergy sector, combined with the growth of the photovoltaic platform and the focus on regenerative agriculture, has led to the construction of a holding company with a more mature, more complex, and more solid identity.

Today, Futura presents itself not as an operator focused on a single technology or a single phase of the supply chain, but as an industrial group that oversees complementary activities, selected according to a rationale of strategic coherence, operational sustainability, and long-term value creation.

An integrated industrial model

The Futura model is based on a simple belief: the quality of a project depends on the ability to consistently manage all its key phases, from the initial vision to ongoing management.

  • Selection of opportunities

We analyze initiatives and assets based on industrial, technical, and territorial criteria, favoring contexts where it is possible to build real and sustainable value over time.
  • Development and permitting

We manage the authorization process with a structured approach, focusing on document quality and constantly monitoring relationships with institutions and stakeholders.
  • Construction and start-up

We monitor the implementation phase by monitoring the technical interfaces, paying attention to deadlines, and focusing on the quality of execution.
  • Industrial asset management

We support systems and initiatives throughout the operational phase, monitoring performance, continuity, maintenance, and potential for enhancement.
  • Development of supply chains and platforms

We don’t view projects as isolated incidents, but as elements of a broader industrial platform, built over time and consistent with the group’s vision.

What sets us apart

  • Real operational experience

Our industrial culture is born from the practical management of complex activities, not from an exclusively financial or commercial vision.
  • Integrated skills

We combine permitting, industrial, financial, and operational expertise to address projects with greater depth and control.
  • Territorial roots

We operate consistently in the territories in which we invest, building stable relationships and gaining first-hand knowledge of local contexts.
  • Long-term vision

We develop initiatives selected based on their industrial consistency and ability to generate value over time, not on immediate and isolated results.

History of the group

1980-90s

A Group shareholder begins operating in the energy sector as a top manager and investor in a power and gas company based in the North-West.

2006

Sardinia Bio Energy was established and the authorization process for the plants and feasibility studies began.

2008

Construction work began, managed entirely by the company’s founders without the support of any third-party EPC contractor. Management began structuring the company’s organization and managing the initial biomass storage operations.

2009

Construction work completed and the first MWh produced were fed into the grid in October.

2011

Testing and development of the heating system and the launch of agro-energy trials on various species have been completed. The system has become fully operational, meeting its design performance.

2012-13

Launch of the first supply from abroad: the first supply chain for raw materials imported from West Africa has been successfully developed. Management has obtained authorization for the 1 MW cogeneration biomass plant.

2014

The Group has obtained ISO 9001 quality certification for the transformation of spent olive pomace into biomass for direct combustion and biogas plants.

2016

The Group has acquired Eco Conglomerati, a company active in the production of mixed recycled concrete.

2019

Futura was founded with the aim of launching the greenfield development of photovoltaic plants.

2020

A business division dedicated to “Animal Welfare” has been developed in collaboration with the main operators in the sector.

2021

Persea, together with other partners, was established as an SPV based on a regenerative agriculture model with the aim of producing high-quality organic avocados, to be subsequently integrated with agrivoltaic systems.

2022

Strengthening Futura’s organization by hiring senior figures with over 10 years of experience in renewable energy development and finance.

2023

The 25 MWp Porto Torres photovoltaic plant has begun construction, and the 45 MWp AgriPV plant integrated with a 20 MW Battery Energy Storage System has received planning permission.

2024

The 45 MWp AgriPV plant integrated with a 20 MW storage system has started the construction phase.

2025

The 25 MWp Porto Torres photovoltaic plant has begun operations.
The 45MWp and 48MWh BESS agri-photovoltaic plant in Serramanna has entered the operational phase.
