Bologna, 2\u20133 July 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Futura Group, which has been operating in Sardinia since 2004, took part in the 2025 edition of RENMAD Renewable Gases<\/strong>, one of Italy\u2019s leading events dedicated to biomethane and renewable hydrogen. The two-day event featured presentations, technical discussions and round tables involving public institutions, companies, financial organisations and stakeholders from across the energy supply chain.<\/p>\n

During the event, Chief Executive Officer Simone Micheletti<\/strong> presented the Sardinia Bio Methane<\/strong> project, which was recently awarded support under the fifth GSE auction<\/strong> within the framework of Italy\u2019s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, or PNRR. The project aims to make productive use of locally available organic resources, with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n

One of its most significant features is the planned synergy with the existing Sardinia Bio Energy Srl<\/strong> solid biomass power plant. The integration of the two facilities will enable the development of an energy ecosystem based on circular economy principles and a short, local supply chain.<\/p>\n

In his presentation, Micheletti highlighted both the opportunities and the challenges facing the sector, stressing the need for simpler regulatory procedures, a stable regulatory framework<\/strong> and greater support for areas that are not connected to the natural gas grid, such as Sardinia.<\/p>\n

Participation in RENMAD provided an important opportunity to engage with industry operators and institutions including GSE, Snam, Italgas, Confindustria Energia and MASE<\/strong>, sharing experiences and perspectives on the future of renewable gases.<\/p>\n

Futura Group<\/strong> thus reaffirms its commitment to contributing to Italy\u2019s energy transition through a practical approach firmly rooted in the local area.<\/p>\n
